Maternity Session at Norfolk Botanical Gardens

Whew Baby! Meredith was only a week away from when baby was due to arrive so we had to move quickly. Ashley called and said that she had found a time to do the shoot at Norfolk Botanical Gardens, so we moved quickly to make it work. It was a surprisingly chilly day for May, so the golf cart ride around the Garden certainly made sure we were wide awake. Our first stop was the blooming mountain laurel and the sunlight peeking through was just perfect. Meredith is one of those people that always looks cute, but her bump surrounded by the blooms had Ashley and I swooning.

Then we were off to the wildflower garden and oh my, what a perfect location! We hadn't even intended on such a matching color scheme, but Meredith's dress had pink and purple florals in the design, so it coordinated perfectly. Next, the rose garden gave us that pop of yellow that brought the entire thing together.

I love serendipitous moments like these when the colors mysteriously align, and it seems at though everything came together just so we could capture this beautiful soon-to-be mother.

Congratulations to Meredith and Omari and their new treasured little one! We're so grateful to have been a part of their family story for multiple occasions now.
